Hannah + Spencer

Words can’t describe how stunning Hannah and Spencer’s wedding was… but numbers can: 10/10. Their classic ‘understated elegance’ wedding is what dreams are made of… we are so excited to share it with you!

Here is what Hannah had to say about their wedding:

1. Do you have any sweet or quirky stories about how you and your husband met/ got engaged?

(This isn’t quite about how we met/got engaged but it’s sweet)

A favorite memory that Spencer and I share is when he first asked me to be his girlfriend in July of 2013. If you know Spence, you know that he’s incredibly musically talented. He put those talents to work and actually asked me to be his girlfriend by writing a song about how he loved me. Fast forward 5 and a half years and he wrote and recorded the instrumental music that I walked down the aisle to on our wedding day. It was such a special moment knowing he had composed it.

2. What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

My favorite part of wedding planning was personalizing our wedding ceremony in a way that glorified God and represented our values. I would also say that customizing our dinner menu for the evening was so fun!

3. How would you describe the “vibe” of your wedding?

From the moment I started planning, I knew I wanted the vibe of our wedding to represent “understated elegance.” I love all things simple, beautiful, and elegant, so my goal was for all of the elements – my dress, the bridesmaid dresses, wedding colors, venue, decor, flowers, etc, to encompass that vision.

4. Tell us about your favorite parts of your dress shopping experience.

Well of course my favorite moment was trying my dress on for the first time and realizing it was the one! You ladies made it an easy and exciting process and listened so well as to what I was looking for in a dress. I ended up changing my mind part way through the appointment on what shape of dress I wanted, and after trying on just 5 or 6 I found THE one! You continued to listen to the certain elements that I knew I was looking for in a bridal gown and then you brought out the perfect one.

5. How did you find most of your wedding vendors?

I found a majority of my vendors through word of mouth. I had family friends and acquaintances that previously had great experiences with a lot of different vendors so I took their word for it. For the rest of my vendors, I selected them based on the vision I had in mind for the wedding.
